Delta Labelling sold to OpSec Security Group

Delta Labelling, a West Midlands-based supplier of leather, printed, woven, PVC and metal labels to the fashion industry, has been acquired by OpSec Security Group. BCMS advised the shareholders of Delta Labelling throughout the transaction. The stated enterprise value for the deal, which took place in 2012, was £12.5m, plus Delta’s excess cash at completion.

Operating from facilities in Tamworth and Hong Kong, Delta’s high-profile customers include an international sportswear manufacturer and a high street fashion chain.

The acquirer, OpSec, provides products, services, and solutions to corporate and government clients on a global scale. The group operates 16 locations across nine countries, and specialises in the fight against counterfeiting, diversion, and fraud. Its suite of services include Online Brand Protection, Product Authentication, Apparel Labels & Trim, Supply Chain Tracking, Licensing Management, Consumer Engagement and Transaction Card Security.

“We are pleased to announce the acquisition of Delta, which will complement OpSec’s existing brand protection business in the fashion and apparel sector, and which we expect to be earnings enhancing within the first year of its acquisition,” said OpSec chairman David Mahony.
