Location Medical Services (LMS) acquired by DocGo
Ambulnz UK Limited, a subsidiary of NASDAQ-listed DocGo Inc., a leading international provider of mobile medical services and patient transportation, has acquired Location Medical Services (LMS), a UK-based specialist in the provision of medical staff and services for film, TV, events, and NHS Primary Care settings. BCMS advised the shareholders of LMS on the transaction.
Established in 1996 and regulated by the Care Quality Commission, LMS is a long-standing provider of paramedic services to the TV, film, and events industries. In recent years, the business has also developed a specialist Primary Care Paramedic service for NHS Primary Care Networks and Clinical Commissioning Groups, offering responsive home visiting services on behalf of NHS General Practitioners.
“I have no doubt this deal would not have happened if we had not been working with BCMS” – Dan Melhuish, LMS founder
Based at Shepperton Studios, near London, LMS operates the permanent on-site studio medical centre and delivers medical support for organisations using Shepperton’s facilities. LMS also works on site at media production locations across the UK and Europe, and has provided emergency care medical staff, paramedics, and ambulance support services for over 500 feature films, TV productions, and commercials. Additionally, LMS is a highly regarded provider of professional paramedic services for major events, exhibitions, festivals, horse shows, and national royal events.
DocGo is a leading provider of mobile medical services and patient transportation in 26 US states, as well as the UK. The business focuses on transforming the patient experience by delivering at-home medical care, utilizing the full potential of telemedicine. When medical transportation is required, DocGo’s Ambulnz division’s digital applications simplify transport requests, vehicle dispatch, and provide real-time location and arrival times. Their vision to lead and innovate in last-mile mobile health services made them an ideal partner for LMS.
Commenting on BCMS’ role as advisor throughout the transaction, LMS founder Dan Melhuish said: “Our BCMS advisors brought not only the M&A expertise we required to negotiate a ‘once in a lifetime’ transaction to the best possible conclusion – but also provided extensive support in so many other ways to take on much of the work and minimise disruption to the business during the sale process. I have no doubt that this deal would not have happened if we had not been working with BCMS.”
