
B9 Energy sold to Gamesa
Spain’s leading sustainable energy corporate, Gamesa Corporacion Technologica S.A, has acquired b9 Energy O&M. BCMS advised the shareholders of B9 Energy on the transaction, which completed in 2015.
Based in Larne, County Antrim, Northern Ireland, B9 Energy O&M was established in 1994. The company is the UK and Ireland’s largest independent provider of wind farm and wind turbine operation and maintenance services. B9 Energy O&M was the world’s first wind farm service company to be accredited to ISO 14001 and ISO 9001, and the company is compliant with OHSAS 18001 and Renewables UK Wind Turbine Safety Rules.
B9 offers renewable energy asset owners a one-stop shop solution to their (Operations and Maintenance) O&M needs, with full operation and maintenance services for completed plant throughout the UK, Ireland and North America.
In 2017, Gamesa merged with Siemens Wind Power. The united company is based in Zamudio, Spain, and trades on the Spanish stock market; one of largest industrial companies featured on the blue-chip index Ibex 35.
