
Marco sold to Atkore International
Atkore International Group (NYSE: ATKR) has acquired Marco Cable Management, a leading UK designer and manufacturer of wire cable tray and PVC trunking, in a deal led by BCMS.
Founded in 2003 and based in Llangefni, Anglesey, Marco Cable Management is a leading uPVC cable management company, and the UK’s largest manufacturer of steel wire cable trays.
New York-listed Atkore delivers a unique portfolio of integrated electrical raceway solutions, with 3,100 employees and 52 manufacturing and distribution sites worldwide.

At the time of the transaction, which completed in 2017, Mike Schulte, Atkore’s President of Mechanical Products and Solutions said: “We are pleased to have Marco Cable Management join the Atkore family as their product portfolio adds value to our electrical distribution partners in the UK and enhances our offering to the data centre and healthcare markets.”

Commenting on BCMS’ advisory role in the transaction, Ian MacGregor said: “We heard that BCMS seeks out as many potential purchasers as it can and that was really appealing to us. We had around a dozen offers and BCMS held our hand through the whole process.”
