Dutch technical and safety equipment vendor acquired by Ets Descours et Cabaud subsidiary
Dutch technical and safety equipment distributor NOMAG BV has been acquired by Destil BV – part of Ets Descours & Cabaud – in a transaction advised by leading SME M&A advisor BCMS.
Founded in 1973, NOMAG is a regional supplier of leading brands of tools, workwear, cleaning products and related equipment, serving a wide range of industries from oil & gas to construction.
Headquartered in Lyon, Descours et Cabaud is a leading industrial equipment supplier with 450,000 customers in nine European countries plus North America, generating €3bn a year in sales.
The acquisition strengthens Destil’s Dutch footprint outside of its French heartland, and all 28 employees will be retained.
BCMS Deal Leader Derk Kropholler said: “This is a very fragmented sector with many owner managers close to retirement age. So we expect to see further consolidation in the major European markets.
“NOMAG and Destil are a great fit together and we’re delighted that we’ve found a new home for the business.”
