Security products specialist SG Systems has been acquired by AIM-listed PHSC PLC in a transaction advised by leading SME M&A advisor BCMS.
Founded in 2003, Amesbury-based SG Systems is a fast-growing retail security solutions and merchandising company serving national, regional and independent retailers, including the DIY, supermarkets, electrical, clothing and pharmacy sectors.
PHSC provides a range of health, safety, hygiene, environmental and quality systems consultancy to UK organisations, and since 2012 – with the acquisition of B to B Links Ltd – has been active in retail security solutions including tagging, labelling and CCTV.
PHSC said SG Systems and B to B Links will continue to operate as separate entities, under the supervision of B to B managing director Colin Warnock. SG Systems’ shareholders will remain with the business in various capacities.
BCMS Deal Leader Glen Mallaby said: “SG Systems has a leading position in a niche market and is a great fit for PHSC. We’re delighted to have found a new home for them.”
