Business travel franchise strengthens market position with acquisition
Two Dutch members of UNIGLOBE’S business travel franchise network have joined forces in a move to improve efficiency and generate economies of scale.
UNIGLOBE Perfect Travel has been acquired by fellow franchisee UNIGLOBE Smart Business Travel in a deal advised by the Benelux team at international M&A specialist BCMS.
Amsterdam-based UNIGLOBE Perfect Travel serves a corporate client base, while UNIGLOBE Smart Business Travel offers the same services from their offices in Grootebroek, Teuge and Woerden.
This is the third Uniglobe franchise tie-up in the Netherlands in a year, following deals completed by BCMS in April 2015 and March 2016.
BCMS Benelux Managing Director Derk Kropholler said: “The combination of these two businesses will enable the owners to deliver more efficiency from economies of scale. We saw strong interest from local franchisees, but we believe Perfect Travel provides the best fit for both parties, and wish them well in the future.”
UNIGLOBE Travel is made up of more than 700 franchises in 60+ countries across six continents , operating under a well-recognized brand, common system and services standards. Headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, Uniglobe has global sales volume in excess of $5bn.
