BCMS has advised the shareholders of KeeResources, a leading provider of software solutions, data and services to the automotive industry, on its sale to the UK’s largest digital automotive marketplace, Auto Trader.

Established in 2000, with headquarters in High Wycombe and a second office in Eastleigh, KeeResources provides software, vehicle data, digital solutions and professional services to the automotive industry. Today, the company’s data powers systems, websites and apps for many of the automotive industry’s best known and largest brands, including manufacturers, leasing companies, dealer groups and media owners.

Auto Trader is the UK and Ireland’s largest digital automotive marketplace and attracts c. 50 million monthly visits each month. The acquisition enables Auto Trader to strategically own and develop its own source of accurate and valuable data, which underpins much of its core platform.

Chief Executive Officer of KeeResources, Denis Keenan commented: “We are extremely proud to have the quality of our systems, data and people recognised by the UK’s largest automotive marketplace. We had had great prior experience with the BCMS team so they were our natural choice when the time came, and they have supported us beautifully throughout what has been a very detailed process.”

BCMS Managing Director Duncan Wade added: “We are delighted for the company’s shareholders and employees and are confident that Auto Trader’s backing will serve to accelerate growth and enable KeeResources to further leverage its unique data and digital solutions for the benefit of all of its customers.”

The BCMS team included Duncan Wade, Ken Barragan, Simon Glover and Madhavi Sodha. Legal advice was provided by gunnercooke llp, led by Stephen Cook. The price and terms of the deal are undisclosed.
