Aston Trio acquires Plastic & Film Holdings
Components manufacturer Plastic & Film Holdings (PFH) has been acquired by Aston Trio in a deal advised by BCMS.
Established in 1991 and based in Milton Keynes, UK, PFH specialises in manufacturing custom-made plastic components and assemblies for a wide spectrum of industries, and trades as Advanced Plastic Technology. The company uses up to 18 different processes to meet customer specifications including laser cutting, saw cutting, line bending, bonding and welding.
Dan Glionna, Chief Executive of PFH, said: “Having spent the last 17 years growing the business and having made the decision the time is right for me to retire, I am pleased to hand over the reins to Aston Trio.”
Post-sale, Dan will continue to work with Aston Trio for three months to ensure a smooth transition.
Also headquartered in Milton Keynes, Aston Trio is a private investment vehicle owned by Derek O’Neill – former chairman of safety group, Marlowe PLC.
Derek said: "The acquisition of PFH has allowed us to invest in the UK manufacturing sector at a very interesting time and we will continue to invest in the business and its employees, so it continues to prosper for many years to come. We were attracted to PFH as it is a well-respected outsourcer of fabricated and machined custom plastic components and assemblies and for its design and manufacturing of isolators. PFH benefits from strong relationships with its customers and we intend to continue to provide the excellent service that PFH has become well known for in the market place.”
BCMS advised PFH with legal advice from Freeths LLP. The price and terms of the deal are undisclosed.
BCMS Lead advisor John Pritchard said: “PFH is an interesting business with huge potential, and we feel it is in good hands with Aston Trio. This was a straightforward deal and we are delighted to have been able to help. We wish them all the best for the future.”
