Asidua acquired by Civica
Civica has announced the acquisition of software and consultancy service provider Asidua as the company moves to enhance its capabilities in providing agile, self-service and automated solutions to public sector clients.
With experience of working with local government authorities across the UK to provide application integration and specialist telecoms solutions, Belfast-based Asidua will now be integrated into Civica’s Digital Business Solutions portfolio, with the company continuing to work under its existing management team.
Under the agreement, the terms of which have not been disclosed, Civica said it expects to broaden the services it offers public sector clients, pointing to Asidua’s Customer Contact Platform, which has already has been implemented by the government of Northern Ireland and a number of UK authorities to integrate their operations.
"The acquisition provides an enhanced capability to help customers change the way they operate to support more self-service channels, automated processes and more agile working," Civica said.
Civica chief executive Simon Downing said that the addition of Asidua’s business expertise to its existing operations would allow the company to expand its reputation for improved public service delivery and cost efficiencies. Asidua, which presently employs 130 staff, works with public and private sector organisations in the UK, Ireland, Europe, the US and the Far East.
The move for Asidua is the latest in a number of acquisitions by Civica during 2014. The company has also purchased Bristol-based Coldharbour Systems in March and asset management software specialist Keystone in May.
